For the longest time, I felt like I had to drive to Orange County, California to get good hot pot (shabu). As a 4 hour drive for dinner is fairly unreasonable, you will understand my excitement after my first meal at Namu Shabu. FINALLY Vegas has a respectable spot for hot pot!! Culinary gods be praised.
In all seriousness, this place is amazing. All you can eat with top quality meat (even Wagyu for no extra!!), fresh crisp veggies; sweet, spicy, or savory broth, delicious appetizers and noodles included in the AYCE price... seriously try the ramen noodles cooked in the Sukiyaki broth. /r/nextf**kinglevel.
Add to this amazing service, good music and a really cute decor. Can't wait to come back. -

My friends wanted to treat me to a birthday dinner and I've had Namu bookmarked for a while so I figured why not give them a try. We came on a weeknight around 6 pm and the place was pretty dead. It's located in the same shopping complex as Sushi Neko and there's plenty of parking.
They offer a few different broth options and ayce meats, vegetables, noodles and some apps. I went with the Sukiyaki broth which was okay, but I felt could have used a bit more flavor. I feel like it was too watered down. The meat options were nice and tasted fresh, but I was disappointed in the shrimp and fish balls. The vegetables were pretty standard. As for apps I had the takoyaki, shrimp tempura and seaweed salad. They were all okay, but nothing special.
Overall this place was okay, but nothing really stood out to me as being great or really delicious. I was also kind of disappointed that they didn't have any wine. -

A delicious AYCE hot spot joint to add on your foodie list. This place doesn't have as much variety compared to Nabe, however a lot of similarities. They do not have a self serve station and everything is ordered from the menu.
Now what I enjoyed about this spot is the Kimchi broth! It was so good with the all the wagyu cut meats, seafood and veggies. The calamari and house salad are also a big hit.
Even though everything is ordered from the menu, the service was fast. The place was clean, bright and open. If you're looking for a AYCE hot pot to satisfied your hunger, then don't forget about this place. -

Service here was really good. It was empty when I went so I don't know how they fare under pressure, but I felt really taken care of! I prefer that everything is brought out to order, I think it makes the experience better that you don't have to get up every time you want some more vegetables or noodles.
The noodles are really good here. I think some of them are freshly made in-house at least from the flavor
The meet is pretty good as well. Ribeye and lamb stand out. The "wagyu" is all pretty tasty as well.
Sides are great as well. Particularly the poke bowl (kind of like a chirashi bowl with sauce) and the fried calimari were good.
Their sauces are great especially the one with minced garlic.
My only issue was with the broth. I think they use a lot of powdered spices and flavorings in their broths. Sukiyaki was very very salty, as it would boil away you would get a very gunky consistency that I haven't seen in other shops. I feel like I should have asked it be diluted with their original broth. The Huo Guo tastes like unseasoned water with chunks of some kind of powdered spice broth product. That's not right. Broth is supposed have rich natural flavors of the constituent meat, bone, and vegetable bases with balanced seasoning.
To me this place is really awesome. Lots of choices, they have great counter seating, quality is good, and the service is really great (I visited Friday night and was helped by a Chinese guy and girl - they were both very sweet and accommodating). If they improve the broth a little, I think they could be the best in town. -

I'm usually not one to complain but my experience was so disappointing I had to share it. I too was fooled by the 4.5 stars alike a fellow Yelper. My boyfriend and I came here on a Sunday at 5pm and we were the only 2nd party there. My boyfriend had asked if they had the Chinese BBQ sauce (Sa Cha) and they said they did. He saw the server find the sauce in the fridge and sniffed it. Okay like that wasn't a sign at all. The sauce they give you is ponzu and goma.
APPETIZERS. The spicy garlic edamame was so stale and sour. Sweet chili chicken was alright and the fried calamari was soggy. The Okonomiyaki fries tasted undone. I asked if it could be made extra crispy and the server said it already is but it was soft..? The best item here is probably the gyoza, sadly.
We got the double soup, Huo Guo and Kimchi, which supposedly are the spicy ones, both had no flavor and was not spicy at all. The food came fairly quick but the food portions are so small especially the meat. Each order of meat you get about 5-6 THIN slices, so thin once cooked they either vanish or you could barely find it. We couldn't decide which seafood item we wanted so the server recommended a 'combo' (not listed on the menu) that you can sample a little of everything. What eventually came was only 4/8 items that didn't consist of the fish, shrimp and beef balls we wanted. They also served us items we never ordered.
Eventually it got a little busier, more parties came that were 3 people+. The service for us became slower and it came to the point where we got ignored. We ordered more meats, 30 minutes past it never came while all the other parties were being served and getting all the attention. We were still hungry and asked the server if she can check on our food. All the food that came out was not ours only to led us to believe they never put our order in. I was so disappointed I just wanted the check. We had complained to whoever was in charge that our food never came and we were given only a 10% discount ($5.69). I was going to pay with card and they never came to take it. I was so over it I just paid cash and left.
I love hot pot but I'm definitely not coming back. They didn't even have cilantro. Nabe is still the place to go for AYCE hot pot with buffet style for seafood, veggies, noodles AND a variety of sauces.
